free download of my novel 4/1-4/5

They say that the best things in life aren't free.  Well maybe my novel, "The Mu Rhythm Bluff" isn't the best thing in life, but it's going to be free.  At least between April 1 and April 5.  It's my own way of kicking off autism awareness month.  I won't be able to offer it free again until July I don't think, the way that Amazon works.    Of course normally it's less than three dollars so it's still a bargain.  Not easy to sell ebooks as I'm beginning to find out.  Let's see if I can give at least a few copies away.  Again, here's the link to the novel in case anyone's interested: link here for free download from April 1 to April 5.

You're right, Roger. However, I don't know how to do it. I thought the same thing. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to do it. Hopefully will still be able to read my blog until I can figure out how to make it smaller and put it on the side.

I'm sorry to hear you've been sick. I hope things get better for you.

Hey the picture link to the book on your blog doesn't work. I think you forgot : after http.

Actually, I had an extra http in there. I didn't bother with it, because I thought people would link to the URL from the 'purchase the book' link, so I didn't think it mattered. But I figured some people might want to link to the URL from the photo and you had a good point, so I went in and fixed it. It should work now, so anyone who wants to get to the amazon page where "The Mu Rhythm Bluff" is, they can now link to it from the picture.

Thanks for letting me know.

Incidentally, if you or anyone else is interested i've only sold 12 copies (one returned for a refund) and gotten 116 downloads since it's been in the free shop. 70 the first day. I was briefly in the top 100 in the free shop for action/adventure fiction genre, but that did not last long.

It goes back to being a paid book tommorow and I won't be able to offer it for free again until June or July.

This is a great book and you are an excellent writer! You make the frustrations of living with autism so clear while making a creative and interesting story. I am a little over half way though and I'm loving it. I'll be recommending it to all my Facebook friends.

@Anonymous thanks for your kind words.

How are you getting on with selling your novel? Have you heard of Goodreads? It's a site where you can review and discuss books and promote your own work(s). There's a forum specifically dedicated to promotion. There's also a facebook site called CafeBiblio which encourages promotion.

Bullet. So far, I'm not doing well, sold about 15 and had 125 downloads when it was free book, thanks for the tip about CafeBiblio. I'll check them out. I've already purchased advertising on good reads, it has not helped.

I'll download your book in a couple of days. Just been reading the sample. I have to admit I'm struggling to see what Dumas did wrong on his date with Kelly.

thanks, hope you read it and I hope you enjoy it.

Bought it this morning and have just finished it. (You will have to look on the Amazon UK sales, but hopefully your rankings will have gone up now on that side of things :) ).

You kept the story going very well. I empathised far more with Drake than I did anyone else in the story, though I have to admit to enjoying all the facts and trivia and numbers that were said during the rascal meetings. I do have to ask what "all hat and no cattle" means though. I have also learned that I have been wrongly playing scrabble my entire life (playing it exactly like Drake tried to play it) and that I would be useless at poker. You are spot on about not being able to read minds, it's one reason I can't play games like chess, or draughts, because I cannot predict what the other player is trying to do.
Anyway, fast paced in places, you had a good mix of characters (I think some of those without autism needed serious lessons in social skills) and you obviously drew on some of your own experiences. I'll post in Goodreads that I've read it, so that might draw some more readers.

Thanks Bullit, you're my only sale in May so far. I was wondering whether that was you or someone else who bought it. My rankings have improved a bit. Thanks for the kind words and glad you liked it.
